Setting that option essentially killed the second desktop Windows created, thus removing the duplicate cursor. Overall, give the game a chance, unlock some cars, play classic carma mode and hunt for powerups (time is never really a factor). Could have been more variety and more to interact with IMO. Levels are decently sized, some better than others. If you select that, it will only display one desktop regardless of how many monitors Windows thinks you have. And the 'rapture' powerup has got to go, that thing is loud as fuck. While changing some settings a few moments ago (unrelated), I stumbled upon a setting in PC Settings (Windows 8.1) 'Show only 1'. (But I could only see one because I only have one screen). It took the same amount of moves to the left to get the cursor back into view - that proves that Windows did in fact think I had two screens and did in fact create another desktop. I proved this by moving my cursor outside the right of my screen. The reason why the cursor was always at the top-left of my screen, was because Windows is set to display everything on the primary display, so, it displayed my normal cursor and then it displayed another cursor (which was meant for the extended display (second monitor)) on the primary display. One of the settings (which I did NOT set) was to "Extend the second display" which means that the screen will be extended onto the second monitor (but in this case, there's only one screen). And so Windows thought that I had two monitors connected. So Windows screwed up somewhere and installed two different 'monitor' drivers. ![]() But I don't - and there has only ever been 1 display connected to this computer. You might be able to change the hard-coded keys using a config file, too, but it has been a long time and I cant remember if it is possible. I discovered that Windows thinks I have two displays. However, there are ways you can do it through use of key remapping programs (so that the WASD keys are actually sending the cursor keys signals). How do I get rid of the unwanted one? Or, why is there a second, active cursor? It's just sitting there in the top-left of my screen. I tried searching for a solution, but all I could find were tonnes of people asking others how to get two mouse cursors, which is the opposite of what I want. Well, I knew that already anyway, but that just proves it. So I know it's not a part of the wallpaper. When the computer is loading something, both cursors change to display a Wait cursor. When I click in a text field, both cursors change to indicate I am now in a text field. But when I hover over a hyperlink - both mouse cursors change to show a hand cursor. Its location never changes on the screen. So basically, I have two mouse cursors on my screen. But then I noticed there was already a mouse cursor just to the left of the Recycle Bin! How did that get there?! I woke up, signed in, and went to empty the Recycle Bin. I noticed there were like a billion pending Windows Updates ('cause 8.1 was released so long ago) and so I installed them all while I was sleeping. Thanks for the closest thing to an actual fix I've gotten so far, I'm sure it'll work for others but it didn't for me DS4 is already updated and I only have one HID game controller under my device manager, so I have no idea.I bought a new PC yesterday, and it has a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro. ![]() This is only going to work if you have the newest version of DS4Windows, and if it's this conflict, but that is what it sounds like. You'll get a pop up asking permission, accept. When I exit the games and return to the desktop mouse clicks arent recognized anymore. ![]() Deactivate the bottom one, then activate it again. So, thats an issue I already encountered a year ago when playing the Windows version of Carmageddon, now Im also having the same issue with Carmageddon II. If so, right click it and activate.Ģ) Two HID-compliant game controllers. ![]() You should see one of two things:ġ) A single HID-compliant game controller with a deactivated symbol next to it. Once it's updated, with your DS4 plugged in wired, open device manager then human interface devices. If you haven't updated DS4Windows lately do it, it has some conflict fixes. With the buttons messed up, and or if it's giving analogue (camera) inputs that you are not doing sounds like a conflict with another driver, almost certainly Microsoft's xbox one. Have you updated to the new DS4Windows, which has more options?
